Charlotte, North Carolina – Capital City Exteriors LLC has been actively involved in giving back to veterans through the Purple Heart Homes program. The program, which is based in Statesville, NC, assists aging or disabled veterans with housing solutions as a way to help those in need.
After serving in the Marine Corps for several years, Joe Sherlock, owner of Capital City Exteriors, and his wife Stasi wanted to participate in the Purple Heart Homes program as a way to help his fellow veterans and their families. Many veterans lack the funding and resources they need to provide for themselves and Purple Heart Homes offers a great opportunity to connect vets with people who have the skills as well as means to improve their living situations.
The program has eased the financial burden of many veterans by providing anything from wheelchair ramps, lift systems, and handicapped bathrooms to even adding an addition for an entire house. The team at Capital City Exteriors has contributed by giving multiple roof replacements to homes in need, which is one of the most important parts of any dwelling.
When asked about his involvement with the Purple Heart Homes program, Joe Sherlock was quoted as saying:
“Purple Heart Homes is a wonderful organization that so many people are still unaware of. That is true of many things – we don’t know what is available or what people need until we are face to face with our own life situations. Purple Heart Homes reaches out to communities and vendors when a veteran is in need. We are honored to be part of this organization.”
Capital City Exteriors is a roofing, siding, and gutter repair and replacement company that serves Charlotte, NC, and surrounding areas. The company has been in business since 2013 and has a loyal following in the local community.
